CBA grant information and applicationThe Cincinnati Bar is a grant-making organization that has been in existence for almost 50 years. In the last five years alone, the Foundation has provided almost one million dollars in funding to educational and charitable organizations. While we support many programs of the Cincinnati Bar Association, we are also interested in providing funding to worthwhile programs in the community that further our interest in promoting justice and education of the law. Justice and the legal system reach far beyond the courtroom, and touch all of our lives.

The Foundation conducts two grant cycles per year, typically in April and October, with application deadlines at the end of February and the end of August respectively.

Grant Applications Sought

The Cincinnati Bar Foundation is requesting proposals for the Fall 2010 grant session. All applications must be received by 5 p.m. Friday, August 27. To be considered, programs must demonstrate how they meet the Foundation’s mission of improving the community’s understanding of and access to the law. Any non-profit organization is welcomed and encouraged to submit a request for funding. Preference is given to programs in need of seed money rather than requests for ongoing operating funds.

Grants will be awarded in early October. To request an application or for more information, contact Rene McPhedran at (513) 784-9595 or rtmcphedran@cincybar.org
