This three-part series aims to provide a foundational understanding of key considerations when drafting or reviewing commercial agreements with data privacy and cybersecurity in mind. While the series won’t make you an expert drafter in these specialized provisions, it will give you the knowledge to have meaningful conversations with your clients and know when outside help is needed. Explore drafting essentials relating to security obligations, data breach protocols, and risk transfer mechanisms for when things go wrong.

Property Tax Reductions 101
How to Navigate the Board of Revision
February 7
12 – 1 p.m.
1.0 Hour General Credit (pending)
Did a client recently receive a surprisingly high property tax bill? Consider applying for a reduction of the property's taxable value. Your county's board of revision will conduct a hearing, and you and your client will bear the burden of proving that the property was over-valued. If the board reduces the property's value, the new value will apply to future tax years, which will save money on tax bills well into the future. Jeff Levine will explain the intricacies to this process and how to optimize the opportunity for a value reduction.
