An intensive participatory program in trial skills
In this week-long program, trial attorneys will “learn by doing,” working through exercises on opening statements, direct and cross examinations, closing argu- ments, and demonstrative evidence. Each participant will have the unique opportu- nity to receive individual mentoring and immediate, constructive critiques from experienced trial lawyers. The program culminates with the opportunity to conduct a trial before a jury and a real judge.
More than 20 hours of CLE credit is anticipated for Ohio and Kentucky. Documentation will be provided for self-reporting to other jurisdictions.

This presentation will provide a brief overview of Social Security and Medicaid benefits available to children and adults in Ohio. It will also include some rec- ommendations for planning for disabled individuals.

From its original passage as a constitutional amendment to its enactment as part of the Ohio Revised Code, Marsy’s Law has been a source of confusion and controversy. Jack Greiner, a long-time advocate for public transparency, will discuss the impact of the implications of Marsy’s Law with particular emphasis on R.C. §2930.07, which controls the privacy of victim information.
