Public comment window open January 1, 2023 through February 15, 2023
Presiding Judge Terry Nestor appointed the Hamilton County Common Pleas Civil Rules Committee to fix certain technical problems with our Local Rules. The Committee members: Judge Robert A. Goering (Chair), Judge Jennifer Branch, and Judge Christian Jenkins have been hard at work reviewing and updating all 47 Local Rules, some of which haven’t been updated for decades.
For example, did you know that:
1. The official video recording format for Common Pleas courts is VHS ½ inch video cassette?
2. Local Rule 21 addresses Registered Land Cases. But Registered Land was abolished by the Hamilton County Commissioners on 8/6/14.
Revisions from the Committee will be available for public comment starting January 1, 2023 through February 15, 2023. A red line version of the Rule changes can be found on the court’s website, https://hamiltoncountycourts.org/index.php/common-pleas/
