YLS Bar Bash goes big
In early November, more than 30 attorneys, both new and experienced, gathered to celebrate the newly admitted class of 2023 at Igby’s in downtown Cincinnati. YLS Chair Ryan Goellner gave an inspiring speech about belonging to the YLS and CBA community and welcomed those recently admitted into the CBA “family.”

Giving Basket
benefiting boys & girls club and prokids
The Young Lawyers Section (YLS) helped more than 300 Greater Cincinnati children celebrate the holiday season this year as part of their annual Giving Basket and Holiday Party. The Giving Basket is a wish tree program providing presents for children from ProKids, Boys & Girls Club, and Boys Hope Girls Hope. Dinsmore & Shohl LLP host the online registry platform and collect
all the donations. Continuing last year’s tradition, YLS volunteers coordinated by
Community Service Co-Chair Vincent Boddy, joined the Clive & Ann Buenger Boys
& Girls Club in Newport, KY on December 15 for an evening filled with winter
wonderland delights; paper snowball fights, candy cane races, gingerbread house
building, possibly the sugariest cookie decorating ever, and of course the joy of giving
and receiving gifts. Next year, YLS plans to expand the Giving Basket to
cover every gift needed by these organizations and with your continued
generosity they’ll succeed!
